How to get started, look after your account and get the most from each product.
Getting started
- Choose Start your journey on the home page, or go to Products.
- Sign in with your account. If you do not have one yet, choose to create an account, enter your details and confirm your email address using the message we send you.
- On the Products page, choose Continue on the product you want to use.
One account signs you in to every product available to it. Some products, such as the Library, are available only to accounts that have been given access.
Account and two-step sign-in
Signing in and out
Sign in with your username and password. Your name and a Sign out button appear at the top of each product while you are signed in. Signing out in one product signs you out of all of them.
Forgotten password
On the sign-in page, choose the option to reset your password and follow the link sent to your confirmed email address.
Two-step sign-in
Two-step sign-in is optional and adds a one-time code to your sign-in. Turn it on from your account settings in Job Search, then save the recovery codes you are shown somewhere safe. If you lose access to your codes, use a recovery code to sign in, or contact us.
Job Search
Job Search finds openings that suit you and keeps your applications organised.
- Set up your profile. Add the roles, locations and preferences you are looking for so matches reflect what you want.
- Review matches. Open a job to see why it matched and decide whether to pursue it.
- Track applications. Record each application and update its progress through to a decision.
- Prepare for a job. Choose Prepare for this job to open Job Prep with the role and company already filled in.
Job Prep
Job Prep helps you get ready for a specific role.
- Start a practice session for a role and company, or arrive from Job Search with both filled in.
- Practise interview questions and review feedback that explains what went well and what to improve.
- Check your resume against the role you are targeting.
- Follow your progress over time as practice adapts to you.
Library
The Library is where you read whole books and ask questions about them. Answers show the passages they come from, with insight about characters and the story beside the text.
- Ask a question in plain language and open the cited passages to check the answer.
- Choose a book by genre, author or title, then read and ask about it as you go.
The Library is open to every signed-in account, with a daily limit on questions that resets at midnight UTC.
Troubleshooting
I am asked to sign in again
Sessions end after a period of time and when you sign out anywhere. Sign in again to continue.
"Too many attempts"
For your protection, repeated sign-in attempts are paused for a few minutes. Wait, then try again.
I did not receive an email
Check your spam or junk folder, confirm the address you entered, then request a new message from the sign-in page.
A product shows a maintenance page
The product is being upgraded or is briefly unavailable. Wait a couple of minutes and choose Try again.
A page does not look right
Reload the page. If the problem continues, try another up-to-date browser and let us know what you see.
Contact
If you cannot find what you need, use at the bottom of any page. Include the product you were using and what happened; never include your password or recovery codes.
